08 Crittenden Estate Chardonnay, Mornington Peninsula $27.50 per btl, $24.50 a bt by the half dozen purchase. This wine is barrel fermented for 2 years and is stirred on the lees to produce mouth filling favours of ripe fig and baked apple. This gorgeous wine can be served with roast turkey.

05 Alan & Veitch Charleston Viognier, Adelaide Hills, SA $26 per btl, $21 a bt by the half dozen purchase. Ripe pear, honeysuckle musk with tropical fruit. The palate was an elegant texture with supple and beautiful lingering flavours which finish clean.

08 Los Hermanos La Galicia, Victoria $23 per btl, $19.50 a bt by the half dozen purchase. This Savagnin, a French varietal from Jura, is produced by Crittenden Estate. It is a truly enjoyable summer wine and shows aromatics of peach and lemon zest that continues through on the palate. A perfect accompaniment to fresh prawns and/or scallops.

08 Glaetzer Dixion, Rêveur Pinot Noir, Tasmania $45 per btl, $35 bt by the half dozen purchase. Fresh strawberries, ripe plum and savoury spices aroma. Dark cherry and blackberry flavour meld with supple toasted oak. Lush balanced tannins complete the wine.

08 Massena Eleventh Hour Shiraz, Barossa $39 per btl, $32 bt by the half dozen purchase. Is full of blueberries, roasted coffee and Barossa fruit sweetness. Its supple tannins An amazing wine, produced from 60 year old vines, is dense and brooding. The opulent palate and bright acidity makes for a wine easy to drink now or to cellar.

07 Torberck Woodcutter’s Shiraz, Barossa, $25 per btl, $18 bt by the half dozen purchase. The nose is full of rich cherry and spice. This Shiraz is layered with flavours of tobacco and mouth filling dark fruit. This is a real crowd pleaser to be enjoyed with roasted meats.

Domaine du Parc St Charles, La Pinéde, Côtes du Rhône, $26 per btl, $21 bt by the half dozen purchase. Traditional Côtes du Rhône blend shiraz, grenache and mourvedre. Red fruit, light spiciness, some floral character. This wine will suit amateur of medium body red. Easy with any kind of summer dish.
